Climate Campaigner - Volunteer Role

What’s involved?

Help is needed to send letters, join meetings, draft press releases and organise campaign activities to change local, regional and national policy on issues relating to climate change - anything from improving public transport and active travel, tackling flood risk, to disinvestment of fossil fuels from pension funds

When
Ad hoc although there are regular meetings of climate coalitions (online, evenings) that it would be helpful to join depending on the area of interest: Derbyshire Climate Coalition (4th Wed of the month); EMCCA Climate Coalition (1st Wed of the month); Better Buses East Midlands (ad hoc) and Divest Derbyshire (ad hoc)

Where
Ad hoc and often in response to events. Most activity can be home-based.

Time commitment
Flexible - as and when needed

Skills or qualities needed
An interest in policy and making a difference. Not needed but creative skills an advantage (for props for demos)
