Gardener or Learner Gardener - Inspire Community Garden

What’s involved?

Join the team at Inspire Community Garden and help with the day-to-day running of this vibrant community space. Tasks are varied — from clearing, mowing and weeding, to watering, harvesting, sowing, planting or general maintenance. You can choose what you enjoy. There’s plenty of opportunity for social interaction, or quiet time if that’s what you prefer. No gardening knowledge is needed — just a willingness to get involved.

When
Wednesdays, 1:00–3:00pm and/or Sundays, 10:00am–3:00pm

Where
We’re located just off the footpath between Mecca Bingo and Monkey Park on Chester Street. Enter via the first gate on the right (from Mecca Bingo) or the last gate on the left (from Chester Street). The gate might look locked — just push it open and follow the path. You’ll find us somewhere up the site, working or chatting.

Time commitment
Completely flexible — drop in as and when it suits you.

Skills or qualities needed
None — just an interest in learning and being outdoors.
