Our next Potato Day will be on Saturday 30th January 2027

Orders will open on 1st October 2026 and close on 12th November during which time you can order for collection on 30th January 2027 and benefit from a discount to the ‘on the day’ potato prices.

For 2027 we have a few changes to potato varieties. First earlies ‘Rocket’ & ‘Swift’ are not available but ‘International Kidney’ (aka Jersey Royals) & ‘Foremost’ are reintroduced. Second earlies ‘Harry’ not available but a new variety ‘Elfe’ is introduced. Main crop a return of the popular ‘Pink Fir Apple’ and a new variety ‘Rooster’ with ‘Pentland Dell’ and ‘Valor’ no longer available.

All our usual alliums, peas, beans and green manure are available and we are introducing a 3rd Shallot ‘Yellow Moon’.

We are aware that some email programs filter out messages from our ‘system’, when you complete and pay for an order you should receive an email from us confirming your order. If you don’t receive that email please contactspud@potatoday.org.uk

The main store page has all varieties listed but there are also separate store pages for each category (such as 1st earlies, peas & beans etc) which makes it easier to navigate. If you want to just stay on the main page and work your way through thats fine.

If you ‘hover’ your cursor over a variety you can ‘quick view’ to see a description.

To make an order click ‘add to cart’. If you do this without looking at ‘quick view’ it will add one of the variety to your cart, so when you have finished adding varieties and you go to the cart to pay you can increase the amount of each variety if you wish. Alternatively if you click ‘quick view’ you can add as many as you wish before you click ‘add to cart’.

Remember ‘one’ potato means one tuber, you can order as many as you like. One garlic is a whole bulb with 8 - 12 seeds.

Onions come in packets of 100g, approx 20 sets. Shallots packets of 250g. Peas in packets of approx 200 seeds, Broad beans & French beans approx 50 seeds, Runner beans approx 30 seeds

We also ask you to confirm where you want to pick up your order from - Chesterfield, Loughborough, Hathersage or Buxton. Please check on your confirmation email that you have selected the correct pick up town, orders will be transported to the pick up town you specify a few days before Potato day.

When you have completed payment you will receive an email listing what you have bought and an order reference number. If you don’t receive that email please contact spud@potatoday.org.uk

Ordering for January 2027 will start on 1st October 2026 and close on 12th November, we can’t accept any orders after that so please visit our shop on 30th January 2027 in Chesterfield. Transition Loughborough also have a Potato Day on the same day with a limited number of varieties on sale.
