Transition Chesterfield

Climate change action - Blue Wave – 5th Dec. 2009
For those who didn't make it, today saw thousands of people across the country showing their support for the need to take action to reduce our impact on the climate. 

Transition Chesterfield folk cycled and bused to Clay Cross today to join others on a local blue wave march, in parallel with the London and other campaigns across the country, showing support for a positive outcome from the Copenhagen talks.  Paul Holmes MP and Natascha Engel MP and others enforced the message that we must act now, and that everyone must play their part.
 
There are so many ways to make a difference, but hopefully the publicity from today will help to let people know that Transition Chesterfield, just like other transition groups, is one channel through which everyday people can join forces in reducing climate change in their localities.
