Climate Wake Up phone in
Monday 21st September, 12:18
New Square, Chesterfield
There will be thousands of 'wake up' rallies and events taking place all over the world on Monday, sounding the climate alarms and showing our political leaders that we want them to sign up to a strong climate change agreement in Copenhagen in December. This is our little bit of the mass movement.
Set your mobile phone alarms for 12:18, and when they go off, hold your phones in the air and congregate in New Square. We will phone up some important people like Gordon Brown and tell them we want a strong climate deal, make some noise, and then disperse. It's quick, fun, creative and might even help stop catastrophic climate change.
You might want to bring things to make noise with, or signs or banners, or anything to help sound the climate alarm. You can RSVP at this link, or just turn up: https://secure.avaaz.org/en/sept21_rsvp/?id=136497&cts=8nN61VP
