If you helped out with Potato Day, or just dropped in, or even just heard about it or walked past, I'd be interested to hear your suggestions for how to make it better in the future.
One idea we're discussing is to eliminate the 'family' activities: the potato printing and potato people. They're fun for the people that do them, but not that many people do them, and they take a lot of preparation and space. This year they didn't seem to draw that many people in, and the seed potatoes were enough of a draw.
The mash tasting, on the other hand, did seem to bring people in, and engage them, so one thing we could do would be to replace the printing and stamping with chips, mash, jackets and soup. What do you think?
