Transition Chesterfield

Transition Chesterfield was officially recognised as a 'transition initiative' by the national Transition Network on Wednesday 10th December 2008 - we're off!

What this means is that we can now access all sorts of support from the national network, including newsletters, networking, possible funding, publicity and our very own space on the national Transition Towns website. It also that we've committed to play by the rules and do a few things like write ourselves a proper consitution, support other neighbouring Transition projects, and be an active part of the wider network. We are now listed on the Transition Network website as a proper transition town. See if you can find us at transitiontowns.org.

We're really delighted to have gained this official recognition of our efforts, and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been part of Transition Chesterfield so far. This is just the start of the adventure, and we're sure there are lots more and even better things to come in 2009....
