Contract:            Temporary to cover Maternity Leave for approximately six months with possibility of extension.

Introduction

Becoming a council the city deserves means a transformation of council structures and service delivery. Sustainability is central to the planning of this new way of working. The Sustainability Team is looking for an experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to continue to support this process for six months, helping lead strategic sustainability work both in the council and across the city.

The successful candidate will lead a programme to implement Environmental Management Systems in key council services and to develop the capacity of potential city suppliers to implement them too. Other key work areas include Climate Change Action Plan completion, policy work and staff management.
