On May Day (the 7th) Chesterfield will be staging it’s annual May Day march, in which will be carrying our banner.
Please come and take a turn!
 
Assembly outside at the Town Hall from 10:30; the procession sets off at 11, takes about an hour and is more of a gentle amble than a march.

Did you know Transition Chesterfield has it's own allotment? This is effectively your allotment which you could share with others and help create a living resource for people in Chesterfield.
 
We need to get the plot in order for the new growing season and are having some open days in the next few weeks.

This year's Potato Day is coming up. 28 January, from 10am to 2pm, in The Pavements (just opposite Poundland). We'll be selling seed potatoes, onion sets, and garlic and shallot for planting. Many varieties, all at very competitive prices, and no minimum purchase.

Car Share Scheme Survey
The National Energy Foundation is running an E-Car Club Pilot project on behalf of Sustainable Ventures.
 
The aim of the project is to test the feasibility of implementing an electric car share scheme within selected communities across the UK. Initially 6 to 8 communities will be selected to be surveyed, these will then be narrowed down to 3 to take part in the trial in the first half of 2012.
